Lawnstock 06

Lawnstock 06 was moved to the backyard this year due to the date and time. Lawnstock usually held in the evening, on the front lawn was on Sun. Feb. 19, 3pm. This year was kid friendly. Next year won't be! I am pushing for the move back to evenings out front. This year Arlan played with special gueats, Karen, Matt and Sean. We also welcomed his girl Katie from N.J. . Hope everyone had fun. photos to follow, I have been having trouble posting pics lately.

The World's Best Eclairs

Sorry no posts....been busy. Found the BEST ECLAIR at the Well-Bred Bakery in Weaverville North Carolina. YUMMY. Worth the trip! Big and delicious, filled with (what I think is a mix of) fresh whipped cream and pastry cream. SOOOO goooood.

For Cara

My dear friend Cara has informed me that she is bored with my blog and I need to post something. I did not make Keith his checkerboard cake for his birthday (which is not like me), but we have been a little busy around here trying to finish this f#$%!** house. Do not be concerned, we still had cake I didn't make it. Don't do construction with kids unless you move out. Do expect it to take twice as long and twice as much money as you expected. Anyway, I have no cake to show off. I do have a picture of Buck my dog enjoying Lake June over Thanksgiving weekend. Cara will most likely be bored by this because she has already seen this photo. Sorry Ca, I need to sort myself out. I am tired...no creative energy or thoughts at this time. My daughter woke up at 2 am, called me into her room to inform me that she now has a yellow journal at school, she then went back to sleep. I was up until about 5.

One of lifes great mysteries...Beauty... Question of the week..

How is it possible that the woman in this photo has sold millions of dollars of beauty products to millions of people? Am I not seeing something, help me out..Somebody... hmmm, if she can sell cosmetics, maybe I should sell sand on South Beach....Anyway...no cupcakes to show off. If you tune in after Sunday (my husband's birthday) I will unveil my first attempt at a checkerboard cake. Yummy..Check it out. Please advise me on my question... How is she making so much money in the beauty industry??
